Energy Consultant
1. Your position within Odot.
As an Energy Consultant, you will work at the heart of the organization. You will have a diverse range of tasks focused on ensuring that our customers get the best price for their total energy solution, on providing customers with advice concerning their energy issues and on helping to put this advice into practice. Some of your tasks and roles:
✓ You will be mandated by our customers to manage their energy contracts.
✓ You will combine customer groups using a smart approach and submit requests for quotation to the energy providers on the basis thereof;
✓ You will monitor the energy pricing market on a continual basis and, subject to consultation, fix the right prices for our customers at the right time;
✓ You will have regular meetings with customers to discuss their status and potential business changes and, based on their input, provide advice and support regarding their energy options.
✓ You will monitor our customers’ consumption and cost dashboards using our IT application and perform relevant analyses. You will identify suggestions for improvement and ensure that peak power data is submitted;
✓ You will participate in the formulation of quotations and submission of tenders and PPAs (Power Purchase Agreements);
✓ You will collaborate on major customer dossiers;
2. Your profile and strengths.
For this position, we are looking for a communicative analyst with a wide ranging interest in all things energy: someone with the ambition to serve as an energy expert within Odot and to become the trusted energy related point of contact for our customers!
✓ You are already familiar with the energy market or enthusiastic about it (and can’t wait to learn as much as possible about it).
✓ You have an analytical mindset by nature. You have the patience to figure things out and are eager to gain an in-depth understanding to enable you to identify potential solutions.
✓ Building and maintaining relationships is your forte and you enjoy dealing with customers, suppliers and colleagues in a professional manner;
✓ You have an eye for detail, are proactive and well organized. You can operate with a focus on results;
✓ You are able to prioritize and manage your own daily schedule;
✓ You are very creative in finding solutions. You have the best interests of the customer and Odot at heart;
✓ You are driven and take responsibility for your tasks. You prefer to work independently, but you are equally happy to consult with colleagues at the appropriate time;
✓ You are familiar with the Dutch, French and English languages.

We will provide appropriate guidance from the start to ensure that in no time at all you will be totally familiar with the energy market. During this induction period you will also learn how to use our IT applications.
The door will always be open to you at our renovated offices in Schoten, which overlook a beautiful garden and provide parking in front. You will have a lot of freedom and autonomy as part of the job. Following a successful induction period, working from home will definitely be a potential option, subject to consultation. We work on the basis of a 40 hour system, which means that you will accrue additional ADV days (compensatory hours) in addition to 20 statutory holidays. You will work during office hours.
We offer a full-time, open-ended contract for your particular position. We will provide attractive remuneration in accordance with your level of experience, including a company car. We will put together a package of fringe benefits in consultation with you.
